The following information can be edited and changed as required.
Question Wording
This text entry box defines the wording for the question as it is displayed to the student.
Reasons
Defines a hint/reason for questions when the student gets a wrong answer. A maximum of 70 characters can be used to define the message.
Computer Marking
If selected the question is marked by Question Mark and a score for the right and wrong answer needs to be set. The score for being right must be at least as high as the score for being wrong.
Leaving this check box deselected leaves the question unmarked and no right/wrong score needs to be defined.
Negative and fractional answers allowed
Selecting this check box allows the user to enter any number (including negative and fractional ones).
If the previous check box is deselected then you need to define the range the answer will be in. For example 'Numbers from 1 to 100' will suggest the correct answer will be between 1 and 100.
Numbers from
Sets the minimum value to be accepted. Can be either 0 or 1.
to
Sets the maximum value to be accepted by Question Mark.
Correct Answer
Defines the correct answer for the question.
+/–
This number entry box defines the possible range of correct answers. If this box is set to zero then only an exact answer is judged as correct. No other alternatives will do. (Offset from the correct answer).
Score if inexact
If the previous number entry box is not set to zero then this number entry box defines a score which is awarded to the student if the answer entered is within the offset of the correct answer. The score if inexact must not be greater than the score for getting the question completely right.
